Renfrew County United Way

The Renfrew County United Way was originally incorporated in 1971 as a not for - profit corporation in Ontario as "The United Fund of the Upper Ottawa Valley Inc.", changing to United Way/Centraide of the Upper Ottawa Valley (UWUOV) 1989.  In 2010, the organization changed its name to "Renfrew County United Way".  Since its inception, the efforts of the corporation, its volunteers and supporters have raised more than $5 million.

The traditional area of operations has been centered on Pembroke and Petawawa where the United Way has become a major vehicle for funding charitable agencies in the area. In 1997 the corporation responded to a request to administer United Way activities in the Arnprior area. As a result activities are expanding in the southern part of Renfrew County.  In 2009, UWOUV amalgamated with The Deep River United Way.

Currently, 12 charitable agencies are supported by funds raised in Renfrew County.

Renfrew County United Way has been a member since July 16th 2000
