Deep River Earth Day Community Cleanup – April 21st
If you live in Deep River, then here’s a chance for you to pay back in a small way to your community. The Deep River and Area Branch of the Upper Ottawa Valley Chamber of Commerce is in the process of planning a Coordinated Community Cleanup for this year’s Earth Day activity and your participation would be greatly appreciated. The event runs 9 am -2 pm.

Register at Deep River Town Hall on the morning of April 21st, pick up a bag, fill it with trash, and return it. It is that simple.

Co-op Works! – Algonquin College
Through the eastern Ontario Development Program and the Renfrew County community Futures Development Corporation, Algonquin College is offering employers a 50% wage subsidy to support the hiring of Algonquin College co-op students. This program is available to employers on a 1st come, 1st served basis for the summer of 2012, as only 15 positions are eligible to be funded.
