Hope everyone has a wonderful Easter holiday. April is almost over and May is just around the corner. Thoughts of summer start to sneak into our heads. If you have a submission for the Chamber E-Chat please send it to the Chamber office. Publishing deadlines can be found at the end of this newsletter.
2011 Upper Ottawa Valley Chamber of Commerce Awards Gala – January 28, 2012
Planning has started on the 2011 Awards Gala. Heading up the Gala committee this year is Board member Sue McCrae. The theme for the upcoming gala is “Building For Our Future”
Sue welcomes anyone who is interested in helping on the Gala committee to let the Chamber office know at 613-732-1492. The next meeting is set for June 23rd at 8:30 am at the Chamber office.

The Communications Committee invites you to “Like” us on Facebook. Just do a search for Upper Ottawa Valley Chamber of Commerce and click on the “Like” button.

The Communications committee will be using these tools to help us communication to you in conjunction with the traditional forms of communications.

Zoomer Entrepreneur Group – May 4th
All Zoomer Entrepreneurs are invited to attend the next meeting on May 4th at 9:30 am at the Pembroke & Area Airport. Guest Speaker will be Jayne Brophy, manager of the Pembroke Mall.

Lunch Connections – May 17th – WSIB Overview
The education Committee is pleased to have Jason Nash, WSIB Employer Liaison Specialist be the guest speaker for our next Lunch Connections, Contacts – “Who You Should Know, What You Should Know”. Jason will give an overview of Worker Safety Insurance Board (WSIB). All are welcome to attend this informative seminar.

United Way – Renfrew County’s 1st Annual “Days of Caring” – June 3rd & 4th
Renfrew County United Way invites charities and workplace volunteers to join forces during Renfrew County’s 1st Annual “Days of Caring”, Friday June 3rd and Saturday June 4th to complete a project that can create positive impact in their community. Details and on-line registration forms are available at www.renfrewcountyunitedway.ca or by calling 1-888-595-2213.

Kinsmen & Kinette Clubs Selling Rain-Barrels
