UOV Awards Gala – Update
The Gala Planning Committee is busy making the preparations for this year’s Gala set for Saturday January 29, 2011 at the Germania Hall in Pembroke.  This year’s Platinum Sponsor is Renfrew County EXPO 150 and the theme is “Journey Through Time – Past, Present, Future”
Still available are a couple of Silver Sponsorships ($600 – you receive 4 tickets to gala and present finalist certificates in 1 category) and 2 wine sponsorships ($500 – you receive 2 tickets to gala). All sponsors are recognized on the printed programs and mentioned during the Awards Ceremony. Please call the Chamber office 613-732-1492 ASAP if you would like to purchase a sponsorship.
Tickets are going fast, don’t be disappointed reserve your tickets now for this special evening. The cost of tickets is $60 per person (taxes included). The evening features a sit-down served dinner by Ullrich’s, Awards Ceremony, Silent Auction and dance with music supplied by Chris Cooper DJ Services.
The committee is also looking for items for the Silent Auction, please contact the Chamber if you would like to donate an item.
“Faces of Business” – Highlight Your Business – Now Booking for 2011
“Faces of Business” video profiles are an opportunity to showcase your business or organization. It is a 3 – 5 minute video that discusses aspects of your business you wish to feature. Your video will be advertised on myFM Radio and will air for one week exclusively on the UOV Chamber of Commerce website. It also continues to play on the Chamber’s YouTube Channel after the week is over.
Remember it is yours to use as you see fit after it has aired on the Chamber website. It is an excellent promotional tool for your website, presentations, place of business and more.
The cost is $399 + taxes which, includes all production, the promotion on myFM Radio and the finished video for your own use.   To book your space, contact the Chamber office at 613-732-1492.

Chamber Launches Groups for Young Entrepreneurs and Zoomer Entrepreneurs
The Chamber is holding an Open House to discuss the launch of two new peer programs for business owners: Young Entrepreneur Group and the Zoomer Entrepreneur Group. The Groups have been discussed as a way to provide support for two of the largest growing entrepreneur age groups: those under 35 and those over 55.
The Open House will be held at the Chamber of Commerce office on Wednesday, January 19th, 2011. The Young Entrepreneur Open House will start at 8:30 am and the Zoomer Entrepreneur Open House will start at 10:30 am. There is no cost to attend and all details will be explained during the sessions. It is open to anyone.
