Just a few short weeks after businesses met to discuss the formation of a Branch of the Upper Ottawa Valley in the region, the Algonquin East Branch as it will be known has elected its first Branch Chair. Kelly Klinck of Bayberry Lane Designs was elected as the Chair. Assisting her will be Yvette Boudreau-Smith, Pinewood Inn who was appointed Vice Chair.  The Algonquin East Branch encompasses the business communities within the municipalities of Madawaska Valley, Brudenell, Lyndoch and Raglan, Killaloe, Hagarty & Richards, and South Algonquin.

 

“We are very excited to congratulate Kelly and welcome her to the Board of Directors of the Upper Ottawa Valley Chamber of Commerce as the Chair of the Algonquin East Branch,” says Gary Melnyk, President of the Upper Ottawa Valley Chamber of Commerce.  “In addition we also congratulate Yvette on her appointment as Vice Chair”.

 

Ms Klinck’s duties include: sitting on the Upper Ottawa Valley Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, to facilitate the meetings of the Branch throughout the year and to assist the UOV Chamber in promoting the Chamber and helping the local business community.
