Lunch & Learn - Leading a Multiple Generation Workforce

With changes in mandatory retirement laws and current economic conditions, it is totally possible to be managing a workforce that spans in age from 18 - 70. And SURPRISE - it is not just the colour of their hair that is different!  People born in different decades have had very different family and life experiences - all affecting both their work habits and how they react to different workplace situations.

This lunch session looks at what leaders need to know and adapt to in order to effectively lead their mutigenerational work teams,

Presenter: Larry Schruder, The Delfi Group                   

Larry brings more than 30 years of operational and executive experience to the Delfi Group from a career in Human Resources and Organizational Effectiveness with both public and private sector high-technology employers. Prior to assuming ownership and leadership of the Delfi Group (2012) , his most recent experience was in the health sector, with 6 years in a senior Governance capacity and the last few years as a Hospital CEO. In his previous his HR Leadership roles, he excelled delivering exceptional service to clients and led large organizational change processes both in Canada and overseas.

He is an accomplished HR Practitioner, people leader, executive, professional counselor, communicator and facilitator. He has unique specialties in both strategic and operational planning and in matters related to employee and leader assessments, performance management, workplace investigations, dispute resolution, employment law, creative problem solving and governance .

Larry is a high-impact professional with a demonstrated track record of leadership and results in a wide variety of consulting, employment and community roles.
